A Course in personal Transformation

Beyond
the Mirror

Look deeper. Understand more.
Choose what comes next.
A guided personal-development course to help you recognize what has shaped you, understand what you may be carrying automatically, and begin choosing who and how you want to be.
We've all had the question

Is This Really Me?

Sometimes in life, you stop and wonder whether the way you think, react, or hold yourself back is truly who you are. Or if it's something you've simply learned along the way.
In this short video, Bill Truby introduces the heart behind Beyond the Mirror and why understanding the person behind the leader—and the person behind the life you're living—matters.
You're not stuck. You may simply need a clearer view.

Why it matters

What You Don't Recognize Can Keep Running the Show

The way you react, pull back, push harder, avoid, worry, or respond to others doesn't come from nowhere.
Some of it may be serving you well. Some of it may be rooted in patterns you learned long ago and continue to follow without realizing it.

You can't make a different choice until you can see what's influencing the one you're making now.

what you'll gain

Greater Awareness

See how your experiences, relationships, and environment have influenced your thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors.

Clearer Perspective

Recognize the patterns you may be carrying automatically.

More Choice

Separate automatic responses from the choices available to you now.

A More Intentional You

Begin practicing new ways of responding and moving toward the person you want to be.

Bill and Joann Truby

The course grew from the personal-development work Bill and Joann Truby have developed and refined together over more than four decades, helping people better understand what has shaped who they are and how those influences continue to show up in their lives.
Bill personally guides you through each episode of Beyond the Mirror, using stories, examples, and reflection to make complex ideas about learning, memory, emotions, and behavior easier to understand and apply.
At its heart is a belief that runs throughout their work: your past has shaped you, but it doesn't have to determine your future. Greater awareness lets you recognize old patterns, choose differently, and move forward more intentionally.

A Final Thought

When You Change What's Happening Within, You Change How You Show Up in the World

The patterns you carry don't stop with you. They influence how you respond under pressure, communicate with others, navigate relationships, make decisions, and lead.
Beyond the Mirror helps you understand those influences so you can stop reacting to what you've learned—and start choosing how you respond.
That can change more than how you see yourself; it can truly impact how you live, relate, work, and lead.
